It is to be hoped that the disgrace ful scenes enacted some six months ago on the waterfront here, an-1 for many months in San Francisco, are not to be repeated in Honolulu. Union men know well enough that they have no light to injure and coerce men who do not happen to belong to their •.Dions. A man has as perfect a right to refuse to join a union as he has to join one. and the fart that he doe# not join does not give the union man any legal righs to attack him or to try and prevent him from earning a livelihood in any manner that he see# fit.
