Captain Cowden. of the training ship Mohican, is anxious to add a dozen Hawaiians to his floating school. He mentioned the fact yesterday to the native boatmen who are always on the lookout for good opportunities and there is little doubt but that Captain Cowden will receive a prompt answer to his offer Clothes, food, liberal education in mechanical arts and the many branches of knowledge that an A B must acquire: good wages, good company and the broadening influence of travel promise a career in the American navy, now the cynosure of all the powers, that has been taken advantage of by many boys of excellent training and good family.
