This hearing was very emohonal. Mostly young people from Wai'nae, Mililani and Nanakuli testified. The students were terrific. They did a real professional job. Their testimony really eame from the heart. Several students broke down and cried. One girl from Samoa, who lives in Waianae, said she feels compassion for Hawaiian people who lost their land. 1 heard the students were well prepared by Wai'anae teachers, Peter Apo (OHA trustee) and Mrs. Kajikawa, who taught them about the overthrow of 1893.
