May Family Sunday is International A-Fair

The May Family Sunday at the Bishop Museum on May 1 will feature the various ethnic cultures that make Hawaii the most unique state of the union. Displays, demonstrations, entertainment and crafts items representing Asia, Polynesia, Europe and other parts of the world, will be featured on this special day. In addition, a lei contest will be held and the public is invited to submit their entries, as "May Day IS Lei Day in Hawai'i". The State Council on Hawaiian Heritage, a nonprofit educational organization, sponsors of the annual King Kamehameha Hula Competition held eaeh June in Honolulu, is organizing the May Family Sunday.
