'ONIPA'A KĀKOU 2018

On January l 7, 201 8, the Hawaiian community gathered as a lēhui to remember the injustice that Oueen Lili'uokalani endured for her people and the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom in 1 893. In the morning, over a thousand people gathered at Mauna 'Ala and marched in solidarity to 'lolani Palaee. Traditional oli and mele were sung in observance of the day. Hundreds of students from various schools gathered to participate. - Photo: OHA Digital Print Media
