Enomoto leaves KIRC

BRIEFS from page 12 St.anton Enomoto, who has accepted a position with tlie Hawai'i Community Development Authority as the director of planning and development for Kalaeloa. Enomoīo has been with K1RC for nine years and has served as acting executive directorfor the past three. He was recently named Manager of the Year by the Depart.ment of Land and Natural Resources for his work with the KIRC. Enomoto said that following his depart.ure, Kaho'olawe will continue to benefit froin the support and involvement of various Hawaiian, environmental and cominunity organizations, as well as stat.e and federal agencies. "There is so inueh interest and support for Kaho'olawe that I know it will always be in good hands," Enomot.o said. KIRC Chair Emmett. Aluli said that the commission and the KIRC staff will miss Enoinoto. "He's been more than a great. administrator; he's been a good friend to those he worked witli and has listened to t.he voice of t.he island," Aluli said. ■
