Notice la hereby given that In accordance with the authority vested in me by sortion 612 of the Civil Laws, the rules and requirements of the National Board of Firo Underwriters for the installation of electric wiring and apparatus, with supplement edition of 1901, with such changes as may be made from tjme to time in said code, aro adopted as the rules and regulations for the installation of all electric wiring of buildings and electric plants within the Territory of Hawaii. Applicants must be made on. proper blanks to the Department of Public Works before wiring or installing electric plants* in any building within the Territory of Hawaii. No person or corporation supplying electric current for lighting or motor purposes shall connect with any building without first having the' approval, in writing, of the government electrician, of the wiring of said building. Mr. W. L. Frazee is appointed government electrician, and is authorized to make all necessary inspections. To take effect on and after the Ist day of January, 1902. JAS. H. BOYD. In accordance with section 1 of Chapter XXVI of the laws of 1880: All persons holding water privileges or those paying water rates are hereby notified that the water rates for the term ending June 30, 1902, will be due And payable at the office of the Honolulu Water Works on the Ist day of January, 1902. All such rates remaining unpaid for fifteen days after they are due will be subject to an additional 10 per cent.
