In Our New Office

Ka Hoku O Hawali is now located in its new office, j at 145 Keawe Street, Hilo, in the same building as tKe the Hawaii News. For many years this newspaper had its ofFice and plant with the Hilo Tribune Herald and it is with profound regret that we leave our old friends, for whose cooperation in the past we are very grateful. The move has been necessary on account of a number of reasons, one of whieh is increasing cost of operating tKe plant. A satisfactorv arrangement was made last week with the Hawaii News, whereby the cost of producing tlie

paper has been cut to the minimum. We will now be able | to give our readers a better newspaper and at the same | time cut running expenses considfcrably. The same staff, however, will continue in the paper's . employ. J. B. Dixon. who has been circulation manager, as well as English editor of Ka Hoku for almost three > years, will also be in the employ of the doing part of the writing for both newspapers. Solomon Anakalea will continue as Hawaiian editor of Ka Hoku and Mrs. Anakalea will eonlinue to be in charge of the ■ f paper*s meehanieal department. Edwin M. Desha will | continue as general manager and treasurer. [ While there is very little change in this week's edii tion, owing to the fact that Monday was a holiday, we jhave planned _a number of new features for the future, j whieh will be announced from time to time.
