Not named in the Māhele Book. Kapaloa may be defined as the land between Makaliua ahupuaʻa and Kahakuloa ahupuaʻa, drained by the Waipili and Malalokai streams. The evidence for its status as an ahupuaʻa, rather than an ʻili of the ahupuaʻa of Kahakuloa, is slight. No ʻilli have been found within Kapaloa. LCAw 6146-F to Lima: "Apana 2. Aina kalo, ili o Kapaloa... 1.0 eka." Also LCAw 6145-X to Kalaiku/Kaleiku, 6147-B to Kaopunaanaa, 6147-E to Kapapuluole, 6147-M to Kapuahi, 6148-P to Nahoa.
