In the back gr<»uud aga>.nst the waH, were tall grasses and matden-hair ferns. Fr<>ra the c;»nopy, the t«r!eton was contmued to the eleg.iut crvstal chandelier . snspended from the center <>f the room, and entwined around its j j>edestal. Similar triniuiings of marguerites, ferns and ribbon bows being used as those on the canopy. Commander Whiting in full dress uniforra, lootcing. Oh ! eo l>ap t iy, and his bride, gweet and pretty. dressed in a pla>n white satin dress witb appropriate tr5rrmings, made a lr»vely pictnre. TUe deoorations in the honse were eiqoisite, it woahl take an •rtist to properly describe them. , The piano in the main ieception rooro w«s covered with pink car- i n»tions.
