K of P. held a meeting last evening at their Castle Hall, and nominations of candidates for office, for the incomingpterm, were made. The wife and children of Pev. H. H. Gowen, arrived by the Arawa from Vancouver. B. C., and intend to make a stay of a mouth or so. Mr. Gowen was formerly located here. Thomas Conner, an old resideut on this island died at Halawa, Ewa on the 27th inst. aged 76 yeurs. The deceased was a native of New Tork citv, and has been long a pensioner of Hon. J. 1. Dowsett. The Hawaiian Lodge, No 21, had a meeting at the Masonic Temple last evening at whieh the newly elected master, H, E. Cooper, and other officers, were installed.
