Mr J. E. Bush accompanied by J. Nawahi were numerous around town yesterday evening. They were ueither looking f»a fight or a vote. They were simply F. M. 8wanzy is the administrator of the estate of Fredrick Buchardt Ashton. The deseased gentleman was a resident of Kohula and was woll and favorabiy known here. Tho 8. G. Wildor estate will be fiually disbursed and settled on tho 31st of noxt month. Tbe executors deserve great credit for having brought the estate into a most floarisbing condition, a fact unparalelled here. It is rumored that Mr. Henry Castle, the present editer of the P. C. Adtrrtiser, will shortly leave these shores for Germany where he will make his permanent residence and becomea“professor.” — “Yarmany” has the sympathies of this paper. Eben Low and others are petitioning tbe governmeut for a reduction of reut on certain lands belongiug to tbe crown domain. The lease was sold to Low at puhlie auction for 11,210 a eary, short-ly after the revolution. Mr. Dole s interest in the matter will probably secure the reduction of rent. Mr. George Norton died this morning. The deceased was formerly an employee of Lewers & Cook and was at one time a prominent officer in the fire department. For the last eighteen moutbs be bad been a very sick man and death was a relief. The funeral iook plaee this afternoon.
