BRITISH LOSSES DURING THE TRANSVAAL WAR

LONDON, Jan. 5 —The total reduction of Great Britain’s military forces in South Africa, from the be ginning of the war to December, including deaths from disease, men reported missing, etc., amounts to 24,299 mea. Of this number 19,430 were actually killed or died. A total of 64,330 men were invalided home, the majority of whom recovered and joined their commands.
