PLANS FOR WESTERN COALING STATIONS

WASHINGTON. January U —RearAdmiral Bradford, chief of the bureau of equipment, informed Senator Perkins today that the bureau would recommend an appropriation of $250,000 for a coaling station in San Francisco bay. Mission rock is the preferred site, and will be selected in case the courts decide that the Government’s title is good. If an adverse decision is rendered, the department will choose between sites on Angel island and at California City. Hogan Will Sue. Ernest Hogan. “The Unbleached American,” will bring suit against the local hui which is said to have contracted with him and his troupe to come to Honolulu. The claim will be, it is said, for salary earned and transportation home.
