Head-lights Protect Sheep from Coyotes

Popular Mechanics One Montana rancher has equipped his sheep with electric headlights to reduce losses due to coyotes and mountain lions. Collars are placed around the neeks of several animals in a flock. Each collar has a small electric light, a reflector and a flashlight battery. When the beasts of prey see the lights bobbing among the sheep, they are frightened away.
