Must Renew Liquor Permits

Renewal of liquor purchases permits began on Mond a y, it was a#mounced Saturday by M. S. Cordeiro, secretary of the county liquor commission.

Liquor purchase permits are good for 60 days only. As the first permits were issued on February 25, new permits must be obtained to purchase liqSor from now no, Mr. Cordeiro said, addlng that blank application cards for renewals are now available.

Blank cards may be had in Hilo from retailers, after whieh they must be filled out and presented to the liquor commission ogfice. Applicants are asked to bring the exact change required as fee.

The liqtior comnussion office will be open daily from 8 a, m. to 4 p. m. Persons residing in the country may obtain their renewal permits from agents of he liquor commission in their district.

When the first purchase permits were issued f persons living on the Big Island had not yet been registered, Mr Codeiro added. Now that rejgistration has been completed, applicants for permits must furnish their identification certificate number and sljow that certificate in order to obtain a miewal.
