NEW DBUM MAJOR By Kennelh Gotae-Few, By KENNETH GOUVEIA P-aul Kekoa, tenth grade student at the Kamehameha School for Boys, recently the ranlt of drum major for the Kamehameha school band. Paul's talent in twirling a baton eame from his constant practice and efforts. Previous to his coming to Kamehameha, Paul attended Kalakaua Intermediate SchooL He will be seen leading the band at the second retreat ceremony of the year. This is Patil's first year at Kamehameha an<| he is the brother of AJbert Kekoa, who also plays in the school band. The band has been practicing daily preparing for the second retreat ceremony. When band leader Elarl Robinson is on parttime the cadet sergeants lead the band through pracUce. There are now 26 members in this organizatīon. The instruments whiehmake «p the band are the trumpets, clarinets, trombones, horns baritones, and the dtums and cymbals. i Guided by Paurs baton the »i band hopes to make a good shovvī ing" at the coming occasion.
