KA LEO O KA LAHUI.

"E Mau ke Ea o ka Aina i ka Pono."

Telephonic News.

The P.C. Advertiser quietly hints in its issue of Jan. 8 that it would be a good thing to get us to Samoa again and away from Hawaii.  No doubt you would like to Mr. Editor; in order to give yourself another opportunity to steal away the remaining rights of the poor natives, -- sell his country and make a plantation slave of him.  But that restless spirit that helped to bring the cause of the poor Samoans to the notice of Uncle Sam. is required here just at present to show up the work of the past seventy years of Hawaiian regeneration, which culminated in downright robbery three years ago on the part of the regenerators, and he proposes to stay right alongside the P.C.A. and its proteges.

The P.C. Advertiser says we are dissatisfied, so we are, and if the truth is told, so is Mr. P.C. Advertiser.  Of course the sudden amassing of wealth, as for instance, when the reform supporters of that paper, went into office with scarsely enough to cover themselves and inside of two years were owning sugar stocks all over the country on the accumulations of small salaries, why, that was all right.  It of course shows the moral status of the P.C.A., and what it would do again for its "partisans" if they were in office, and through them for itself.  The P.C.A., evidently, believes in this advice given by a Jew to his son.  My dear boy, my advice to you is to make money, honestly if you can, but make it any way.
