            E KA NUPEPA KUOKOA E; Aloha oe:--E hiki paha ia oe ke hookomo iho i keia manaoo loihi ma kou pakeke, ae hai ae i ke akea imua o ka lehulehu, a haia loa'ku i na hoa'loha e noho mai la i ke anu o Kaleponi, me ka hoomanawanui, a me ka paupauaho ole.

            Eia no ia malalo nei, e like me ka mea i kau haaheo ia ae la maluna o keia kukulu manao ana, oia hoi keia, "Aole e nui hou ana o Hawaii, no ka mea hoi, ua hoonoaia ke Kanawai Hookamakama, a me na hewa e ae e make ai ka Lahui."
