            E Hulali-ea-pu-e, aole e hiki ke kapaeia ka rula o kahi kiai, i lohe palua oe; oiai ua hoike aku au ia oe mamua.  O ka alua o ka manawa, a me na ‘lii koa, ka mea nana e pale i ka nana o ke koa kiai, me kahi kiai.  O ka makou ia la; o ke kapa rula no kau, la?

            Ke kamailio hooniole hou mai nei oe, me he opu kee moa ala, ke olelo mai, “E ko-o ka waha akea, a kuhea i keia mea e laina koe ia no koa.”

He wini ia la, i lohe oe, nana iho.

Auhea oe e Hulali-ole-wale, ke pane mai nei oe, “he nana maka, he hoowahawaha i ke maluhia o ka pa Alii,” a me ko makou mana kiai, e hoike maoli ana i ka lolo i oi aku mamua o ko kii i kalai ai Ea, poho io iho la ka oe, lilo kekahi lihi o ko aina o Hamohamo; ia Punana me, pela anei?  Ae, oiaio, oia no.  Ua waiho aku au i ka ninau ia oe makua, no kahi lilo o ka pa lii ia Hika ma, e heaha mai kau?
