Puʻukohola Workshops

The Pu'ukohola Heiau Nahonal Historic Site at Kawaihae on the Big Island has a series of free workshops and programs through the month of September. Cultural demonstrations on Hawaiian crafts and games are held onee a week from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the park. Other activities are: Tuesday, June 18 — Environmental education program (play day for Brantley Center clients only), 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the park.

Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 10-11 — Establishment day cultural festival (Hawaiian craft workshops), at Pelekane below the heiau, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. eaeh day. Saturday, Sept. 21 — Special program to be announced through the media, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All interested persons are weleome to join any of the programs. Dates are subject to change.
