Windward's Performing Arts Series Announced

David Seebach's "The Wonders of Magic," will kiek off Windward Community College's 1986-87 performing arts series Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Castle High School Theatre. Seebach, a professional magician who has performed nationwide, will present a program of classic illusions and dramatic, new tricks — many of them popularized on television by magicians David Copperfield and Doug Henning.

His show, called "asee-it-to-believe-itextravaganza," is recommended for children and adults alike. The cost is $10 general admission and $8 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available at House of Music — Ala Moana, Floyd's of Kailua, the UH Campus Center ticket office and WCC's community services office in Eckerdt building, Room 106A. Other events in the series include: Nov. 20— "Austin on Tap," one of the nation's few professional tap dance troupes performing everything from jazz to country-western to classicai.

Feb. 4 — "The Flying Karamazov Brothers, an unbeatable combination of singing, dancing, juggling, comedy and fun. This same troupe was featured in the movie, "Jewel of the Nile." March 4— "Ballrrom Dance Theatre," Peter Maxwell's internationally acclaimed dance teams in a fast-paced program of fancy footwork — from Strauss to Gershwin. All the performances will be at 7:30 p.m. in Castle Theatre. The cost for these events is $ 12 general admission and. $10 for students and senior citizens.
