Molokai FPP Offers Varied Services

The Molokai branch of the Family Planning Project offers residents free or low cost services at its project office on the grounds of the Molokai General Hospital. Services include: • Family planning health education. • Medical examinations for women (pelvic and breast examination and pap test for cancer of the womb); • VD testing.

• Birth control methods and supplies (including natural family planning and fertility awareness). • Information about child spacing (choosing when to get pregnant). • Counseling services by health educators. Verna Albino is the project director and Phoebe Starkey is the assistant director. Other staff members are Jenny Whittman, licensed nurse midwife and Pamela Keanini and Janice Kalaniuhia, licensed practical nurses.
