Culture Highlighted at Annual Festival
Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park held its annual cultural festival July 1-3 with a program of Hawaiian craft workshops, Hawaiian games, food tasting, a hukilau and a program of hula by various halau. A procession of the Royal Court opened the festivities on July 1. The Festival was made possible through the cooperation of the Hawai'i Natural History Asociation, Kona Hawaiian Civic Club, Kahua Na'au A'o ma Pu'uhonua o Honaunau NHP Ine., and the many friends of the park, with the National Park Service of the U. S. Department of the Interior.
