Lunchtime chance to learn Hawaiian

The Friends of 'Iolani Palaee continues its Hawaiian language program, Brown Bagging to Conversational Hawaiian. This is a language awareness and conversational c)ass for the busy person. The 1990 spring session begins Wednesday, Feb. 7. For more information eall Keola at 5220827. Students will be instructed in pronunciation and basic conversational skills. The course is for working adults who might not have the time for other language programs. Everyone is weleome. There are no homework assignments or tests. The prospective Hawaiian speaker is offered a non-competitive atmosphere for a positive leaming experience. Classes meet in 'Iolani Barracks, on the 'ewa palaee grounds, on Wednesdays for beginning students (except on holidays). There are two class sessions, one at 1 1 a.m. and the other at noon. The fee is $5 eaeh session. Students must register for a month at a time and fees are payable upon registration. No textbook is required, just peneil and paper.
