Laie teen vies for title

Kalli Kamauoha, a 13-year-old student at Kahuku Intermediate School, will represent Hawaii in the Miss National Pre-Teen Pageant on Nov. 30 in Orlando, Fla. Kamauoha, who was recently crowned 1991 Miss Hawaii Nahonal Pre-Teen , will be judged on academics, achievements, interview, poise, appearance and personality.

Kamauoha is enrolled in the Gifted and Talented Program at Kahuku where she maintains a 4.0 grade point average and is a member of the school band and choir. Kamauoha will be joined in Florida by this year's first runner-up, Malia Tollefson of Wahiawa. Tollefson, who received the Miss Hospitality award, is the daugnter of Sam and Debbie "Lani" Tollefson. Kamauoha is the daughter of Spencer and Cvdne Kamauoha of Laie.
