Operation Kuaʻna

Last month, Operation Kua'ana's entire staff had the opportunity to attend the Hawaiian Leadership Conference at the University ot Hawai'i at Hiio. This year's theme was Koho 'Ia, to be chosen. We were graced by the presence and knowledge of the Kanaka'ole 'ohana as they opened the conference by sharing their mana'o of Koho 'Ia. Operation Kua'ana sponsored two workshops on na'auao vs. na'aupo (knowledge vs. ignorance). lt was beautiful to see more Hawaiians than nonHawaiians in attendance. Yes, there is hope for our Hawaiian people as we begin to realize we are born leaders and there is room for different kinds of leadership. Operation Kua'ana would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all students of Hawaiian ancestry who have chosen to perpetuate the excellence of our kupuna through your individual pursuit of higher education. Let us continue to support eaeh other's endeavors and work towards the goal. E holomua no ka pono o ka lahui hoho'oko'a, 'a'ole no ke kanaka ho'okahi.
