Halau Hula Ka No'eau is accepting new students for its 1992 classes whieh start on Jan. 6 and eonhnue through the year. No previous experience is necessary. Women and children interested in learning hula are encouraged to attend. On Wednesdays, for youngsters ages 9 to 12 class is from 4-5 p.m. For children ages 6 to 8, class is from 5-6 p.m. On Thursdays adult beginning classes are 6 to 7 p.m. Classes will consist of hula fundamentals with an introduction to hula auwana and hula kahiko and basic Hawaiian language, pronunciation and mythology. Halau Hula Ka No'eau in Waimea is a traditional hula school under the direction of Miehael Pili Pang and Racine Maka Klein. The school has participated in many community events including the Aloha Festival and the King Kamehameha Hula Festival competition in Honolulu. For more information or to register, eall 8856525.
