KICC hearings schedule set

A draft of the Kaho'olawe Island Conveyance Commission's findings and recommendations will be made public Sept. 13. The findings and recommendations will be published in all of the state's major newspapers, and be available for review in all public libraries.

The Commission will hold statewide hearings Sept. 22 - Oct. 1 to gather puhlie inpul. The hearings are scheduled to be held from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., but they will last until everyone who wishes to speak is allowed to do so. The locations are as follows: Sept. 22 - Hilo, Hawai'i (County Council Chambers, 75 Aupuni St.); Sept. 23 - Kailua-Kona. Hawai'i (King Kamehameha Hotel, 75-5660

Palani Rd.); Sept. 24 - Wailuku, Maui (County Council Chambers, 200 South High St.); Sept. 28 - Kaunakakai, Moloka'i (Mitchell Pauole Center, Ailoa Street); Sept. 29 - Lana'i City (puhlie library conference room, Fraser Avenue); Sept. 30 - Honolulu. O'ahu (Kaumakapili Church, 766 Kine St.); and Oct. 1 - Lihu'e, Kaua'i (Kaua'i War Memorial Convention Hall, 4191 Hardy).
