This month the public ean review and comment on maps showing more than 16,000 acres of state land to be transferred to the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, in statewide, informal open-hou.se gatherings planned by the Office of State Plannning. Interested persons, especially homestead beneficiaries on the waiting list, are invited to attend and comment on the proposed parcels for transfer. Staff from DHHL and the Office of State Planning will have information to hand out, and will be available to answer questions. The maps show parcels on all islands (except Lāna'i) that would become part of the Hawaiian Home Lands, pending approval by the Board of Land and Natural Resources. The transfer was proposed by Gov.
