Deputy administrator Linda Colburn has been appointed to the Barbers Point Naval Air Station Redevelopment Commission, whieh is tasked with making recommendations on the future use of that leeward O'ahu parcel, whieh totals 3,700 acres, following the closure of the air station in 1997. The commission is advised by six task forces whieh include members of the broader community and whieh will review reuse proposals. The commission's next public meeting is June 13 at 7 p.m. in the James Campbell Building in Kapolei.
