The members of the Waimea Hawaiian Homesteaders' Association have changed their association's structure to a native Hawaiian homestead community-based socio-eco-nomie development organization known as the Waimea Hawaiian Homesteaders' Association, ine. (WHHA). WHHA, ine. will be for the benefit of all native

Hawaiians under the Hawaiian Commission Act to operate exclusively for charitable, conservation, literacy and educational purposes within the meaning of section 50 1 (c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. The Waimea Hawaiian Homesteaders' Association, ine. repre-

sents the residential, agricultural and pastoral lessees in the areas of Pu'ukapu (11,979 acres), Kamoku-Kapulea (3,529 acres), Waikoloa-Wai'ale'ale (1,295 acres), in Nienie (7,134 acres), and Pauahi (600 acres), all in the north-central portion of Hawaiian home lands on the Big Island. This represents a regional total of 24,749 acres containing 149 residential lessees, 104 agricultural lessees and 239 pastoral lessees. Our new slate of directors and officers are: Daniel K. Kaniho, Jr„ president; Miehael Hanohano, vice-president; Miehaela Aiona, secretary; Ethel Andrade, treasurer; and directors Thelma Kaniho, Teddy Bell, Curtis Chong and Irene Torrey.
