Chamber of Commerce names new officers

The Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce recently elected new officers and directors for the 1995-96 term. Leighton La'akea Suganuma is the new president Ainsley Ahlo and Kau: i Chun are £lrst and second 1 vice-president. The secretary is Ethelreda Kahalewai and the treasurer is Alfred Patten. Sandi Oguma is past president. Directors are Kalani Aki, Fred Cachola, Jimmy Kaina, Fred Kamaka, Larry Kim, Elmer Manley, T.J. Sheldon and Keawe Vredenburg. Established in 1974 as the Hawaiian Businessman's Association, the chamber was organized to encourage ( and promote the interests of its business and professional members. lt boasts 300 members, predominantly entrepreneurs and others engaged in business, industry and the professions.
