Nā 'ohana e ho'ohui 'ia ana

Pai The Pai 'ohana is planning a reunion for Aug. 15-18, 1996 at Mālaekahana State Recreation Area. Activities will include genealogy, workshops, and a 10' au. The family Une includes Kanehaku Pai and Kapua Kupahu. An 'ohana meeting is set, with pā'ina to follow, for 10 a.m. Oct. 21 at Pōka'I Bay Beach Park. Pahia The Pahia 'ohana is scheduling a meeting at Ho'omaluhia Park in Kāne'ohe on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 :30 p.m. The use permit needs to be submitted three weeks prior to the meeting date so please eall and confirm attendance. It is essential that our work for the 'ohana be a priority for all of us so that we eem meet and move forward as one. Family members' mana'o and kōkua are needed so the family ean eome together. Kahanaoi-Pomaikai The Kahananoi-Pomaikai 'ohana reunion will be held on Sunday, Oct. 8 at Pōka'I Bay Beach Park (near the restroom). Look for the banner. This potluck affair will last from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Families include Kaopuiki, Cockett, McCabe, Jones, Kahoohalahala, Kauwe, Rowan, Wong, Akana, etc. 'Ohana are asked to bring photos and eome talk story. T-shirts, tank tops and genealogy books will be on sale. Presales would be greatly appreciated. There will also be door prizes. Call Jeanne or David Kahanaoi at 696-4403. Nā 'ohana o Kawaihae Members of families living in the Kawaihae area of the island of Hawai'i 40-50 years ago are invited to reunite at Spencer Park in Kawaihae Nov. 23-25. Paper goods and soft drinks will be provided for this potluck affair. Those who will consume aleohol are being asked to eamp at the park (camping permits are available).
