Hawaiʻi Community Foundation scholarships available

College Scholarships Available through Hawai'i Community Foundation Hawai'i Community Foundation (HCF) has over 50 scholarship funds available to Hawai'i residents attending or planning to attend college in Hawai'i or on the mainland. Last year, HCF awarded more than 1,400 grants totaling $1.6 million in scholarships to Hawai'i students. Hawai'i Community Foundation is a publicly supported nonprofit organization estabhshed in 1916 to expand philanthropy in Hawai'i. It responds to the financial needs of the voluntary sector and supports constructive community change. Scholarship grantmaking is HCF's way of helping Hawai'i students acquire a college education by providing them with financial assistance. HCF beheves that scholarships ultimately help build Hawai'i's future through education. It is the 14th largest of more than 400 community foundations in the United States. Students may obtain the applieahon through high school counselors, from loeal universities, coheges and community colleges or by cahing HCF directly at 566-5570.
