Ka Wai Ola - Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Volume 15, Number 4, 1 April 1998 — KUDOS [ARTICLE]

KUDOS

Mahalo for your coverage of the Kūkahi against Rep. Ed Case's hill; for Māhelani Kamau'u's brilliant account of the biH; for the trustees' reports and concems whieh have heeome a lot more substantive. The inclusion of the immersion school 1 lth graders ffom Hawai'i is a wonderful read. My family and I loved it. The parents, teachers and eommunity should be very proud. The use of old Hawaiian words makes your February issue very interesting. That there is Haunani Apoliona as a second fluent Hawaiian language speaker, after Moses Keale, gives readers like me and my students a great impetus to read Ka Wai Ola more ofiten. It is unique.
