k I OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Xamanek |L I Researchers, archaeological consultants for Olowalu |%l Elua Associates, LLC, landowner, on its Olowalu Makai I JĒ and Olowalu Mauka project, has discovered unmarked I I burial sites containing human skeletal remains on its lands at Olowalu ahupua'a, Lahaina District, maui island, Tax Map Key: Division H-4-8-03; 5,10 & 84. The remains were determined to be Hawaiian, and proper treatment shah occur in accordance with Chapter 6E, Hawai'i Revised Statutes, Section 43.5, regarding unmarked burial sites. The decision whether to preserve in plaee or disinter and relocate the human remains shall be made by the Maui/Lāna'i Islands Burial Council. Within 30 days ffom publication of this notice, the Maui/Lāna'i Islands Burial Burial Council is requesting descendants of Alapai, E. Maui, Haia, Hale, Haole, John Clark, Kaaoaohema, Kahele, KaUaa, KaUiula, Kaiwi, Kanakaole, Kawehena, Keahi, Kikau, Mahulu, Minamina, Nahaolelua, Nahue, Paia, Panioi, Peekauai, Pikao, Pohakanui and Z. Kaauwai or HawaUans who onee hved in Olowalu, to immediately contact Mr. Kana'i Kapeliela, cultural historian, at the State Historic Preservation Division, 555 Kākuhihewa Bldg„ 601 Kamokila Blvd„ Kapolei, HI 96707, 808-692-8037, fax 808-692-8020; or Robert L.
