AIDS risk

The risk of contracting HIV/AIDS is increasing for Native Hawaiians, currently the second largest ethnic group diagnosed with AIDS in Hawai'i. Hawai'i County is second only to Honolulu in the number of AIDS cases. The Big Island Aids Project provides free, private, confidential HIV testing, prevention and harm reduction counsehng, as well as longterm support services.
