Creating a monster

A monster is an unusual species - like a human fiend, whieh originally is not inherent to Hawai'i. I pray that this human fiend would remember what he has caused. The case of Barrett vs. State of Hawai'i in the U.S. District Court challenges the validity and constitutionality of Article XII of the State Constitution, its resulting programs and agencies, include the State of Hawai'i, OHA, the Hawaiian Homes Commission, federal traditional and customary rights and Native Hawaiian gathering rights. Many of the above were created at or after the overthrow of Queen Lili'uokalani. If this case is won, Barrett will create the largest monster: Total homelessness, including all kūpuna, mākua, 'ōpio, keiki and pēpē on Hawaiian home lands. As a result, financial obligations wil! not be met, including home loans, car loans, payments for furniture, insurance, education, food, heahh insurance, etc. I saw all these kupuna at a meeting at Kealakehe Elementary School. 1 don't have Hawaiian home land. but I too had tears for them. The guiding principle in Hawaiian philosophy is "aloha." It is the trait (mana) that expresses charm, warmth and sincerity of Hawaiians. It is up to eaeh individual to fill his or her heart with good vibes and communicate with others. Lily Ha'anio Kong Keauhou
