In 1978, the Hawai'i Constitutional Convention created OHA with the intent of servicing our people as a whole. The problems that face many of our communities - the right to selfdetermination, the right to eeonomie self suff iciency, the right to protect our land and natural resources, the right to provide programs and services - all of this, and more, require OHA Trustees to have the highest level of integrity, trust, and leadership.
