These are the Hawaiian translations of previously published books for young readers on Kamehameha III and IV, written by Jean Iwata Cachola and Ruby Hasegawa

Lowe, respectively, with translations by Ipo and Laiana Wong. Kauikeaouli, the second son of Kamehameha the Great, assumed the throne at the age of 10. During his nearly 30-year reign - the longest of all the Hawaiian monarchs - Kauikeaouli helped provide the Kingdom with its first written constitution and introduced private property to the islands through the controversial Māhele. Alexander Liholiho, Kauikeaouli's hānai son, mled the kingdom for nine years, during whieh time he helped his wife, Queen Emma, establish Queen's Hospital.
