Student builders

Students in a home building program at Hawai'i Community College recently built a fourbedroom home for a Department of Hawaiian Home Lands lessee. The Hawai'i Community College Model Home Program and DHHL partnered for this program, whieh provides students with hands-on construction experience and creates a home for a Native Hawaiian. The HCC program teaches students drafting, welding, carpentry, electrical and landscaping skills. Since 1965, the program has graduated 3,360 students.
