FEATHERWORK ART AT LYMAN MUSEUM May 1-July 12, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Hilo native Aunty Doreen Henderson and her students, collectively known as Lei Hulu of Hilo, have produced a masterful display of feather pieces in the patience-exacting old Hawaiian style. Come marvel at lei hulu, kāhili (royal feather standards), "ulī'ulī (feather gourds) and "ahu'ula (feather capes). Participants will leam to make a feather flower. Regular museum admission applies. Speaking of stars, this year's festival premiers "Dancing with the Stars - Hawaiian Style."
