The Office of Hawaiian Affairs Consumer Micro Loan Program Tlie OHA CMLP is designed to provide low cost loans to Native Hawaiians who are experiencing temporary hnaneial hardship as a result of unforeseen events, or who need small amounts of funding to enhanee tlieir careers. Loans are available up to $7,500 at a flat interest rate of 5.0% with a maximum repayment term of 5 years or 60 months. To be eligible for a Consumer Micro Loan, you must meet tlie following criteria: • Applicant must be of native Hawaiian Ancestry • Applicant must be at least 18 yrs of age and a resident of tlie State of Hawaii • Applicant's credit history should be satisfactory • Applicant must have tlie ability to repay tlie loan • Loans must be for tlie primary applicants beneflt • Loans are available to individuals, only (partnersliips, corporations, sole proprietorships, etc., are excluded) Examples of Allowahle and Unallowahle Loan Purposes
