Applicants sought for Komehameha Trustee

The search is underway for a new Kamehameha Schools trustee to replace Trustee Nainoa Thompson, whose term expires June 30, 2010. A Trustee Screening Committee has been appointed by the Probate Court to name a new trustee for a five-year term. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to ensure the perpetuation of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop's vision and legacy and must possess expertise in one or

more of the following areas: business administration, hnanee and investment, strategic planning and policy setting, or areas of interest to Kamehameha Schools, including education, law or governance. Eaeh trustee currently receives an annual compensation of $108,000. The chairperson receives $128,250. The all-volunteer Trustee Screening Committee is comprised of Robert A. Alm, Esq., Wendy B. Crabb, George "Keoki" Freeland, Francis A. Keala, Cheryl F. Ka'uhane Eupenui, Benjamin M. Matsubara, Esq., and Miehael E. Rawlins.
