ĪHE OFFICE 0F HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS CONSUMER MICRO LOAN PROGRAM The OHA CMLP is designed to provide low cost loans to Native Hawaiians who are experiencingtemporaryfinancial hardship as a resultof unforeseen events, or who need s m a 1 1 amou nts offundingtoenhance their careers. Loans are available upto $7,500 at a flat interest rate of 5.0% with a maximum repayment term of 5 years or 60 months.

Examples of Allowahle and Unallowahle Loan Purposes Allowahle Loan Purposes: - Death in thefamily - Emergency health situation - Unexpected home repairs - Unexpected auto repairs - Career development courses -Apprenticeship programs - CDL license Unallowahle Loan Purposes: - Debt consolidation - Refinancing -Vacation - Investment - Re-lending by borrower - Home remodeling/lmprovement

To be eligible for a Consumer Micro Loan, you must meet the following criteria: • Applicant must be of native Hawaiian Ancestry • Applicant must be at least 18 yrs of age and a resident of the State of Hawai'i • Applicant's credit history should be satisfactory • Applicant must have the ability to repay the loan • Loans must be for the primary applicants benefit • Loans are available to individuals, only (partnerships, corporations, sole proprietorships, etc., are excluded)
