WAIMEA VALLEY COMMUNITY DAY

Sat,, April 16, 9 a.m.-noon Help mālama Waimea Valley, one of 0'ahu's last partially intact ahupua'a, by participating in activities like planting trees on North Valley trails or working at cultural sites. Volunteers, limited to 60, will meet at the visitor center at 8:45 a.m. at 59-864 Kamehameha Highway, across from Waimea Bay. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring sunscreen, water and a hat. Minimumage to participate is 8; all volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration, (808) 638-5855.
