Hawaiʻi actor hosts TV special on watersheds

A half-hour TV special on the importance of watershed protection and restoration will air throughout February on Outside Hawai'i on OC16. The special, "The Rain Follows the Forest," is produced by the state Department of Land and Natural Resources and features actor Jason Scott Lee setting out on a journey to learn about sustainable life in our island home. Through conversations with DLNR Chairperson William Aila and others, Lee learns about Hawai'i's fragile freshwater supply and discovers connections to our upland forest environment, and shares ways in whieh we all ean contribute to protecting our watersheds.
