Sensitive matters

Dear Readers, 'Ano'ai kakou ... Sorry to disappoint you this month, but I will not be

able to provide all of you with something interesting to read. OHA's board counsels have recommended that my August Ka Wai Ola eolumn not be printed for the following reasons: 1) They elaim that my eolumn violates BOT policy, exposing sensitive/confidential matters from executive session; and 2) They elaim that my eolumn violates OHA's current eonhdentiality agreement in plaee

regarding the acquisition ot certain puhlie property by disclosing certain details of the transaction.

Also, based on what I discuss throughout my eolumn, they are also unwilling to let me edit my eolumn to provide something "suitable" for the puhlie.

They did say that the information as contained in my submission would be appropriate to share only after the transaction closes. Therefore, you will get to read my eolumn in the September issue. Aloha Ke Akua. ■ Interested in Hawaiian issues and OHA? Please visit my website at Hww.rowenaakana.org
