UH awarded $31 million in grants

The University of Hawai'i System has received grants for Native Hawaiian programs worth approximately $6 million a year for the next five years from the U. S . Department of Education. The money will be used for the Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions program and will be used for priority projects that fit within the University of Hawai'i's Strategic Directions and individual campus mission goals. University of Hawaii President

David Lassner said, "These awards are a credit to our hard working, dedicated faculty and staff across the UH system who are working collaboratively to advance the University of Hawai'i's goal of becoming a model indigenous serving institution.
